To avoid traffic, you can use Brașov’s ring road (Ocolitoarea DN1) to cross the city faster or exit towards Prahova Valley or Sibiu.

Parking – Where and How Much Does It Cost?

Brașov has a well-organized parking system, but spots are limited in the tourist areas. There are three tariff zones:

Zone 0 (Piața Sfatului, Str. Republicii, Poarta Schei) – 10 RON/hour Zone 1 (Old Town, Livada Poștei, Bulevardul Eroilor) – 5 RON/hour Zone 2 (residential and peripheral areas) – 2.5 RON/hour For a secure spot, you can use public parking areas at Livada Poștei, Regina Maria (near the Military Hospital), or private parking lots in malls like Coresi Shopping Resort.

If you are visiting Poiana Brașov, parking is expensive and overcrowded during the ski season, so it’s better to park at the entrance to the resort and use public transportation.

Are Cars Towed in Brașov?

Yes, especially in central and tourist areas. If you park illegally, there is a risk of your car being towed, and the fine and recovery fee can exceed 500 RON.

Roads and Driving Conditions
